Promoting Good Migration
There are at least 22 different nationalities living in the Crewe area.
Some of them are members of the settled community, whereas some are newcomers.
It is important that all feel welcome and get involved.
That's the message given by the Migrant Workers Association.
The Migrant Workers Association was established on 7th of March 2009 and came from the Polish Association in Crewe. The new Migrant Workers Association currently covers the Crewe and Nantwich area, and intends to expand to provide support and help to all migrants of all nationalities living and working across the whole Cheshire East Region.
The website aims to provide support in all aspects of living in United Kingdom and to promote good practices of migration that are beneficial both to migrant workers and the region that welcomes them.
The website will give all migrant workers a forum to interact and exchange experience. You can obtain up-to-date information about coming events; find out the rules, regulations and reality of living in UK; and find out how to access local government services and education.
The website also gives information and advice on a wide range of issues including changes to Saturday School, how to get possible help with translation, where to find English classes, what training is available and where to go for information and advice.
